Manufacturing Sector Executive Meeting: Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), How Digital Ready Are You at Manufacturing? | Events | IDC CEMA

The ability to connect systems, processes and people, improving productivity, saving costs, and minimizing risk has made the Internet of Things cease to be a futuristic concept to become a reality. One of the verticals where IoT has more impact is the industrial sector. Manufacturing operations already use a large amount of intelligent equipment, which allows for smarter, interconnected and agile automated actions. Predictive maintenance or real-time asset management are just a few examples of use cases that are driving their adoption. However, there are still challenges to overcome, such as concerns about safety or initial investment. Also, the heterogeneous nature of IoT solutions is creating islands of information, making it difficult to connect with the rest of the company.

According to IDC, Industrial Internet of Things will Start Revolutionizing Manufacturing in Turkey. A number of innovative companies in Turkey will soon start implementing IIoT by leveraging the intelligent connected devices in their factories. In fact, most multinational manufacturers in Turkey are looking to import smart manufacturing use cases that were previously tested in sites outside the country. In line with this goal, a few multinational manufacturers recently initiated pilot projects that include IIoT and other smart manufacturing enabling technologies such as predictive maintenance, analytics, robotics, and cloud-based solutions. These pilot projects are expected to provide multinational organizations with greater efficiency, scalability, and cost savings in 2017 and beyond, even helping them to think about the introduction of disruptive business models.

To learn more about how the Internet of Things can help your business, IDC, in collaboration with PTC, invites you to a half-day event on September 13th, Wednesday at Swissotel the Bosphorus.

During the event, you will be given answers to the following questions:

  • What are the main IoT use cases in your industrial sector?
  • How can you measure operational performance in an integrated manner across all plants, supply chains and equipment, regardless of the underlying systems?
  • How can you start monetizing your manufacturing IoT-generated data?
  • What is the easiest and most inexpensive approach to analyzing your particular case?
