Turkey's ICT Community Prepares to Gather in Antalya as IDC Returns with 8th Annual CIO Summit | About IDC | IDC CEMA

Istanbul – More than 150 of Turkey's most influential ICT leaders will gather at Antalya's Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort on April 23 as International Data Corporation (IDC) hosts the eighth annual edition of its Türkiye CIO Summit. Focusing intently on the theme of 'Enabling Dynamic Change for the Digital Era', the three-day event will explore the very latest technologies, strategies, and priorities shaping the spread of digital transformation across Turkey today.

IDC's Türkiye CIO Summit has been at the forefront of ICT thought leadership in the country since its inception in 2010. And with an agenda that has intimate workshops and focus groups at its heart, this year's installment is set to offer unprecedented opportunities for networking between Turkey's foremost ICT decision makers and global experts from some of the most respected names in the industry.

"Given the rapidly increasing pace of digital transformation undertaken by organizations in Turkey, CIOs in the country are increasingly being challenged to revamp their IT infrastructure, locate and acquire talent with the right digital skill sets, and accelerate the delivery of IT capabilities that effectively align with overarching business priorities," says Nevin Cizmeciogullari, country director at IDC Türkiye. "For this reason, it is critical for CIOs to review their overall priorities and determine how best to allocate and nurture their existing workforce and cultivate changes in their organizational cultures."

With this in mind, the Türkiye CIO Summit 2017 will facilitate tailored insights across a diverse range of verticals, including finance, manufacturing, retail, holding companies, healthcare, energy, education, and services, while a series of roundtable focus groups will explore dynamic themes like digital transformation, cloud and datacenter infrastructure, omnichannel experiences, and the internet of things. These will be complemented by an eclectic mix of thought-provoking presentations and interactive panel discussions on issues such as:

  • The Changing Role of the CIO
  • End-User Experience Management
  • The Role of Data in Digital Transformation
  • Digital Manufacturing 4.0
  • Securing the Digital Enterprise
  • IT Innovation in the Digital Workplace
  • Enterprise Data: The New Fuel for Competitiveness

IDC's senior vice president for EMEA and managing director for CEMA, Mr. Steven Frantzen, will be flying in to deliver the event's keynote address, while Mr. Jyoti Lalchandani, IDC's group vice president and regional managing director for META, will dissect IDC's CIO predictions for the year ahead, providing local perspectives balanced perfectly within a global context.

Experts from some of the world's leading ICT vendors will be on hand throughout the event to provide their own unique insights, while IDC has also invited a cast of visionaries from some of the region's most pioneering end-user organizations to dissect their own digital transformation journeys and deliver a CIO Summit that truly has the interests of the CIO at its heart.

To ensure the Türkiye CIO Summit 2017 covers all the very latest technological developments, IDC has partnered with about 35 hosts of global, regional, and national vendors.
